>what is the movie about?
never seen it, it's utter brainrot. the childrens books are basically Cat in the Hat knock-offs. The Sams guy being a rascal doing rascally things in the neighborhood, hijinx ensue.
>well why dont you try to get their contacts or something of the interesting people and become long distance friends?
I don't miss them, it was just at the time that it felt like loss since I did lose them but frankly, I've learned that I can still be in good company while I'm only by myself. I apologize for sounding so arrogant but frankly, I very very rarely come across people I deem as or more interesting than me, sorry for sounding like Elliot Rodger.
>linguistics history or all the weird shit about english
that's one or two classes tops, remember you have dozens of classes in the syllabus. Dumb shit like literature, they sure love their fucking Shakespeare, and language as a concept itself (regardless of african, english or japanese), there you learn about syntax, morphology and phonetics (the actual vocal sounds that your throat and tongue create to form letters, words and sentences) it's very very dry and boring theory bullshit which is why job prospects are dire, too. You're much better served just learning the actual language via Youtube or some app or discord if you find someone from overseas to chat with.
