Me, among others. Not enough to condemn others' work, far from it but its a form of rigor I like to push on myself whenever possible, out of respect for the characters, their thoughtful design, fans of the character, and likeminded individuals.
Finer details make ZUN's design, from Yatsuhashi's red plectrums, to the way Sannyo holds her dragon smoke (it's akin to the way a gambler would in kabuki), to the red camisole and black top shown off through Sagume and Tsukasa's torn outfits when defeated, to Mai's devil wings once she's on her own.
