Any logic was thrown out the window with this show the moment Dexter got away scott free after all those body bags surfaced in season 2.
Personally I'm excited to see what bullshit they write to have Dexter see yet another relatively happy ending and Angel is just another casualty of trying to get to know the real Dexter.
