>or buying btc circa 2015
>You keep telling yourselves you did it all through "hard work and perseverance"
Calling early buyers lucky is just cope for you yourself not buying.
Holding BTC since 2015 is hard and sure as fuck takes perseverance. Assuming someone had enough for 1m in BTC today that they held since 2015, they would have had to watch their portfolio swing up to 150k then drop down to 20k and sit there for years with barely any movement and still not sell, then up to 500k and back down to 130k again, mentally tormented over years with life changing amounts of money dangled in front of them and STILL not selling.
Not to mention the difficulty in dodging shady exchanges, self-custodying before exchanges went down, avoiding wallets getting hacked, storing a private key securely, etc. all of which could have set them to $0 if not executed perfectly.
