You're the only one trying to equate physically different to different designs.
Aerith or whatever you want to call it is physically larger and has some bits, apparently for visual processing, that reportedly aren't there in Sephiroth or Aerith+.
Since there are at least 3 revisions, it isn't that big of a stretch to speculate there will be another one in the future.
