Try this machine if your gym has one. I just discovered it myself. It taps into the upper middle section of your back as you pull down, but you can transfer the weight bearing towards your upper abs and stomach area as you pull down, which will fill out the area above your belly button and give you more of an OP style stomach.
The problem I had with the ab machines is it stuffs and packs the abs deeper, inwards, instead of stretching them forward and outwards to help with posture. I discovered this a few weeks ago and I'm happy about it. Nice shoulders tho
