probably not for some time, until the technology catches up for the home user to have the equivalent of a GPU farm to be able to train and properly run these things. over on /g/ i see an anon or two having like 512gb machines at home which is incredibly expensive and rare presently. the other problem is that more and more they lock down and lobotomize these things (the latest openai model is showing to be "safety focused" to the point of being retarded). so maybe, i guess is the best answer i can think of.
