Here here, cool ideas, poor execution. Especially on the Ancients since they were in a full on game. Personally, I wish the Ancients actually left logs, not just the visions Sonic and the others see, but like an actual POV log from one of them. It may not represent the Ancients as a whole, but it would better serve to show that, even times apart (and their own advancements), they're just like us. Hell, even Adventure did that with the Knuckles Clan since you could actually talk to the NPCs when you got sent back in time.
