There have been occasions when Israel conducted military actions or policies that diverged from US diplomatic preferences. I’m asking you: why would Israel suddenly listen to the US and give up what seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime chance to crush a life-long enemy? That’s not even mentioning the fact that the whole operation aimed at regime change - quite overtly, considering the name was “Rising Lion.” You completely failed all your military objectives and even more importantly, you gave Iran a strong reason to withdraw from the IAEA and prompted other countries to abandon the NPT as well.
