Here is some gamingu blog;
I've been too tired or busy to continue my Raidou Remaster playthrough on console so now I have an awful itch to play and continue my long streak of fusion autism (compendium demons being cheap does wonders).
On the weekend's night I decided to stream some SMTVV to my best friend. So far I am very early on. I expected it to be more open world-y but it's more like a FFXII style world... except I am not sure if it will have towns or dungeons. I have to reach Bethel now and the plot so far has been very slow and frankly unintriguing, going from 1 to 100 real fast and then just farting out an hours long tutorial prologue... what I tried of IV on Citra was actually far more engaging in terms of story and cutscene direction, same for what I played of SMTIII back in 2020 or w/e. SMTI also had fast pacing but its intro, with Tokyo being slowly more and more invaded by demons, was better made than this despite being a SNES game.
So anyway, due to the story being kinda there and the characters barely giving an impression of themselves (except for Yoko) I enjoyed going around helping demons and getting into fusion autism. The Demon Haunt is also fun. This version of Angel has a stick up his ass... I know he is supposed to be an androgynous being but he looks and sounds like an annoying bishonen who says insane bullshit. I miss Lalah Angel.
I also noticed that a lot of earlygame demons are actually Raidou demons which makes me wonder just *when* Raidou Remaster was planned. Idk when I'll be able to play next but so far it's been fun.
