I dont get the movie and the wokes, they actually had a chance to use peach, an iconic female character, to make a good story or role model for girls and use this movie that was going to be seen by almost every child to spread it, and yet, they go for the usual impossible to achieve girlboss fuckery AND emasculation of mario.
Just look at the infamous obstacle course scene
Actual empowerment story for peach;
>peach sees mario struggling
>peach admits she struggled too
>peach says people told her its not for her, shes a princess not a platformer and its okay for her to quit
>she preservers, but continues to struggle
>she eventually passes after a lot of hard work
>people who told her she couldnt do it or she should stop o face
>she keeps going, keeps doing it until its second nature to her
>she then encourages mario to not give up, and she walks him through how SHE overcame whatever issues, and helps him see ahead and get better
>they both succeed
this teaches girls its okay and normal to fail, that women are good for mothering and encouraging and supporting men, and just because you are in an industry thats "not really for you" that you can succeed, but you have to TRY.
instead they go with the girlboss
