Voidblast staff + melee of choice.

This build looks bad on the surface, but it works really well. I've farmed auric for several months with it.
Crits make you move faster.
Pressing F makes you move faster.
Killing blue guys makes you move faster. And they all stack. And you can move fast while quelling to build your F.

Assail dominates enemy shooters and gunners.
Voidblast dominates hordes.
Melee for self defense.
