2:45 - 4:15 he planned to make a game, by the looks of it he already BANKED on it it will do well and then he had to look for a company to provide a service for him to a) maintain long-term multiplayer and b) to help him sunset it? is that fag for real?
regulations like stop killing games would've allowed him to know he has to make it available either way and calculate that into his costs if he wanted to enter that market, otherwise it would've been a bottom feeder release anyway which he also could've used to calculate into his costs.
how could he have worked for Valve, if he exactly knew that every game they made, had dedicated server binaries for everyone to download. i really wonder what type of role he had there, certainly not technical by the looks of it and he has not extracted anything from there while he was there.
Unless he does SBMM EOMM Activision scammery, then there's no need to worry about tweaking the algo every week to min/max player levels & "their satisfaction". you create an algo for latency & rank and be done with it, then reduce parameters after N amount of minutes to not make it a forever search. there are so many possibilities. or better yet, have variables to tweak in the server software you provide.
it could be so simple.
even consolefags could potentially benefit from this and Sony and MS will get raped a new one while we're at it
