palworld succeed because the general public loves open world sandboxes to do menial tasks in, because most people dont want to think too hard when playing games. combine this with irreverent shock marketing turning it into "le based ironic pokemon" guaranteed it to go viral (lol 69 porn bait pal, ironic dating sim, butcher pals for food as a joke)

if digimon really wanted a smash hit on their hands they should have made a multiplayer Digimon World game rather than chase the persona fandom.
