No, he is not. It feels like your are the ones projecting into Rihito, Noa and how their relationship should look like - but they aren't even a ordinary people, neither they should be.

As he points out in this chapter and in others, turns out his relationship with Noa is something he enjoys, he is tolerable to her bullshit anyway and now as they are together for a while they simply grow closer together. Other notice to that both Noa and Rihito are happier then before. It's not a series about them strictly normal being and they don't have radically change because someone consider certain traits as toxic. So let's not pretend there is no progress
