As for the timeline of events I can actually provide it, mind you tah and gopher, two parts of this grand "clique" quit after rei, and they both stormed off after having a hissy fit themself. They weren't thrown out or forced out.
And what, did Rei suddenly only realize that gopher was part of some nu-dev odf integration clique after 6th months of working with him? By the point that Five was also already on the server and slowly taking over from Rei/just about to?
As you can also see from the info in the top right corner from December the debate over the new map was already decided back then, with Gopher going along with not getting the new map, as the only person that wanted it was a useless former coder that never did anything really other than keep people from pushing shit on master branch cuz "he had stuff in the works". The debate with gopher was over forking, but that was also decided back then.
