They're the same size as the heretic firstborn bolters. The ejection ports are clearly too small for the bolts(most of the heretic guns have the same issue because most SM2 chaos guns use loyalist guns as a base model).
This was not a problem with older bolters. Primaris weapon and armor design just sucks.
