There really isn't. There's one crocodile enemy and that's it, it just happens to be one of the more common ones

I want K. Rool back too but I think this is 100% going to be them trying to sweep most of DKC under the rug outside of key jangles ("OMG GNAWTY HAS A FOSSIL ZOMG THEY DIDN'T FORGET!!!!!!!!!") and instead them trying to retie Donkey Kong back to Mario (visually the game is much more similar to Odyssey than any Donkey Kong game, Pauline focus, etc.)
