I don't get angry at him but I can understand the sentiment on why people wouldn't like him.
I basically have two perspectives on it: One where continuity exists heavily because of The Choices and how that heavily changes the perspective of his actions, and one where continuity is almost as fluid as water and that his actions are just silly cartoon nonsense that would be expected from the world but man oh man does it grind my gears a bit when it's only the Watterson's out of the entire town that are apparently delinquents.
I dunno, I think that's just an effect from the show having wonky continuity that doesn't really matter until they say it does. At least that's how I see it.
