Nolan movies are so fucking ugly. Which is amazing because he's such a cocksucking little queer who's obsessed with analog film and practicality. "Muh practical effects" are not always better when you made fucking Dunkirk look like just a few fucking guys and a nuclear test look like any other gas explosion on film. I'd literally rather have bad CGI that at least tries to give a battle a semblance of scale, than "hurr there are only like five boats in this movie, but it's okay because I shot it PRACTICAL."
