Technically it is dying. It's just dying agonizingly slowly because everyone still playing at this point will put up with almost anything, so it'll just slowly peter out over 10-15 years as these diehards succumb to diabetes and accidents. There will be no grand sudden fall where everything collapses and konami goes bankrupt. Only a slow trickle into eventual irrelevancy and a quiet shelving years down the line that barely anyone notices until it's already happened.
