I loved the HWD graphic cuts so FUCKING much... they're truly classic, I'll never forget waiting for the new episodes to populate on the gumroad. The post-blacklist spite Sam tapped into to create true art with HWD despite his production constraints inspired me to keep working on my own passion project novel, at a time when I was losing faith in my life's trajectory and almost gave it up for normiehood. I am now completing its final draft, it's taken 6 years and a significant portion of my life, but I will always be thankful to him for burning his own life essence for our viewing pleasure
