The problem is not Sonic having flaws, it's changing Sonic to the point that he might as well be a different character. Sonic's flaws had been apparent, if going by on how people say he's the wind, he's pretty reckless despite having the abilities to back it up. He can be stubborn and he does have an ego. His selfless resolve can also be his greatest weakness because in Frontiers, he brushed off that corruption too much that his friends had to step in. Being that he's fast, he can be impetuous but that one more apparent in Lost World. He's a pretty cool guy, but he ain't above flaws himself.
