Yeah, ironically coders and programmers will be hit harder by AI then artists. AI art of any kind will always carry the stigma of not being made a real person and lessen the quality of whatever product it's attached to. "Why should I pay any money for this game/skin when it wasn't even made by a real person?".
Code is more nebulous in the eyes of the public and the culture surrounding STEM and programing is very autistic and individualistic, boarding on sociopathy. Their won't be a banding together moment to protect themselves against AI replacement so they'll get the biggest cuts with little public backlash.
