We're an old country (oldest average population in Europe and 2nd oldest in the world along with Japan) we're surrounded by old people, governed by old people, and for every 20something zoomer there's 10 boomers who CAN'T GIVE A SINGLE FUCK about what's happening outside the border of their neighborhood, let alone Palestine, Ukraine, Washington or Taiwan.
Our ruling class doesn't want to risk, because they know that risking means that things can possibly go bad.
