"Boring" is the best filter. Keeps out the excitement-chasing riffraff. The lack of traffic noise in the PD Waterfront City is lovely. Dine on RM 7 kuey teow goreng with carrot juice next to the harbor on a drizzly evening. There's no bitterness, only contempt for the timidity of modern tourists, their smarmy praise and nitpicking complaints equally out of touch.
