"Pulp" doesn't even have anything to do with RPGs originally, it's just fast paced simpleminded coombrained adventure novels that were such shlock they were printed on cheap paper, hence the "pulp." Nowadays it's just shorthand for "rule of cool" which is just a fat 40-year-old man's cope for why he's too fucking lazy to learn rules anymore, because he's too busy raising his wife's son while going to community college for an IT degree he should have finished 20 years ago. "Rule of cool" is just retarded and it completely destroys the roleplaying in RPGs because you cannot think in-character when you cannot read the GMs mind as to what will make him laugh with an autistic onions laughter that flares out the audio on microphone (since half you socially autistic fucks play online now) and thus he will allow it to happen, especially if you roll LE EPIC NATURAL 20 thanks to the empty-egg-carton wrinkled roasties and balding bug-eating soi fags on Critical Roll.
