They never, EVER had a shred of a sense of irony about themselves. I don;t mean fully-cloaked in it to where nothing else exists, because that's gay too. I mean they were SO SURE they were the apex of everything cool and hip, and that it would quite literally last forever. They were dead serious about ALL of it.
