This would be super hit and miss but
>999 style game
>mostly a visual novel
>enemy stand attacks are not "fights", but actually puzzles
>when an attack starts you get to control your character, walk around the world, interact with objects and use your stand abilities on them
>at the beginning you will probably get instakilled by interacting with the wrong objects, walking into the wrong place etc
>but your stand allows you time rewind to try again (this just a cheap way to implement the retry into the ludonarrative of course)
>as you retry, you slowly start inferring how the enemy stand works, what rules apply, what to do to defeat them
>you start learning what you need to do with the environment/your own abilities in order to get access to new places, protect you from certain attacks and approach the enemy stand user
This is all I wanted from a jojo game, but instead they keep making shitty fighting games.
