This. The game allowed you to at least have your pretend fantasy that the people who do this shit can meet a brutal end.
The new players will just see a generic shooter, that doesn't have the gritty realistic moral dilemmas. (Bring in alive just so he can go free? or perform frontier justice and fucking end them and then desecrate their corpse.)
I think a lot of anons defending the devs are missing the larger picture.
