These "analysis" and "retrospectives" are the worse. They offer 0 subjective critisism and just rely on things other people have falsely claimed ad naseum. Its funny because the only real difference of the leveling system between Morrowind and Oblivion, is the amount of Major Skills and the existance of Misc Skills, everything else works exactly the same. While there ARE times i wish i had 2 less Major Skills in Oblivion, i still dont find any issues with how it mainly works.
>B-but the spongebob enemies!!!
The only objectively tanky enemies are Ogres and Goblin Warlords, both of which you only run into at the start of the late game. Ogres can be countered easier do them being a bit on the slow side and their weakness to shock so its mostly Goblin Warlords being a pain with their high attack speed and health. How to solve this? By playing the damn game. Its a sandbox RPG where you achieve godhood and yet people will complaing about "the damage sponges"
>b-but my bandits in daedric armor!!!!
Thats only partially true. You wont ever see EVERY bandit decked out in full daedric set. While i admit, the way they decided to "give" the player such loot was a bit much its not a deal breaker and its a way to make NPC encounters relevant in all levels, hence, scaling loot. Im sure people would complain still if all they encountered was bandits in leather armor only anyway.
