The problem is that 40 to 50 years from now youre going to be the one that collects social security and anything over 35k per year gets taxed at 80%. And the fact that its basically all one huge slush fund means that the taxes you pay into isnt given back to you directly.

So effectively the taxes i pay when im 20 that go through social security should not be taxed again 50 years later again to pay into social security. You want people to put into the fucking system, not have them rely on a 401k or stocks because social security taxes them TWICE.
