Postmodern osr
Because osr is a fucking grift anyway and literally anything can be osr if it's le'dark fantasy where nobody get shit. I'm having fun pulling tables and numbers out of my asshole for classes.
Wanna be a paladin? Great. Here's the paladin level table like AD&D and prior did for oddly specific saving throws. No you don't roll stats. That's what the table is for. The table is the six normal stats periodically going lower to just roll equal or higher than on a d20.
Every class has different progression tables.
Level drain is now essentially HP damage.
Wanna pick a race for your dwarf? Sure go ahead. Here's another fucking table for the dwarves damage output when he attacks with a corresponding stat. I won't tell you you HAVE to use strength with your axe. But I will tell you if you use strength at level 1 to 8 you're dealing 4d10 damage. Because monsters will resist stat damages. A rock golem probs has like strength resistance -30 or something. One could call this armor class...and to be getting hit at 0.
In fact maybe I should make an AC table for players too. I wasn't planning too as on my end attacks were just gonna be "the stone golem throws a big fucking rock at you. You three players make 6 dex saves. Fail all of them you die.
>Fuck you I'm not keeping track of damage
>You'll probably make at least one save out of six
