I was thinking ONE casually retconned every depiction of Earth from space in the adaptations to be contradictory, but after looking up a couple (pic related in the anime and the ocean cutting laser in the manga) it seems they show one supercontinent and maybe some small ones.
Either extreme luck, or something ONE had planned for the series' setting long enough ago to instruct them on it.
