Actually with this game it makes sense. Cause most mario kart games are a circuit racer/F1/Nascar level kind of thing. But World is more Rally/ Grand Tour/ wacky racers/ Speed Racer kind of racing. Mario kart world is instead of Fzero is now Forza Horizon, but people still play it as the series used to be.
