Tons of conspiracy theorists guessed Luffy was the Sun God, the Sun God was mentioned nonstop and Sun Symbology is everywhere. Luffy's ship is literally the Sunny.

Alabasta's flag has the sun on it. Skypiea introduced the sun god. The Kozuki family logo of Wano has a sun in it. The Elbaf giants have sun shields and were said in Big Mom's flashback to worship the sun.

Again media literacy. Luffy was always meant to be the sun god and it was always an important plot point. Only the name was shown up later.
