Idk why you think rendering is going to be the secret to drawing girls. It can be useful if you want the girl to look bright or soft but it's not going to make her eyes bigger or lips poutier. Also you should work on your anatomy so you can be bolder with your lines instead of doing those wimpy little dashes like on her stomach in your original drawing.
