i'd never be able to have anything that isn't a common mammal as a pet as cool as they are and look
reptiles and amphibians brains function way too different to a point it'd be too complicated for me to care for them, plus many of them are fed on live stuff and i don't wanna farm roaches nor buy rat pinkies
fish are too high maintenance, specially saltwater
birds aren't meant to be kept indoors (i'll except livestock like chickens and quail only, and even then they're meant to live outdoors in larger groups)
half of the bugs that exist are either poisonous or creep me out, i already have enough with the occassional ceiling spider or garden snail, no i'm not beekeeping
and don't get me started on exotic shit, i hate exotic pets, they're not meant to coexist with us, they belong back where they were born, or in a zoo
i'll stay with cats and dogs for my own wellbeing, and the wellbeing of those around me (and the animals too)
