Is learning java gui using swing and awt suppose to be painful? Holy shit my brain hurts. I swear to you I are not very dumb. JavaFx is so much easier and less messy. I wish I wasn't forced to learn this shit. I don't even know if it will make me a better little cog in any way.

I guess, the prime question at hand is, any resources like books or websites (besides the oracle documentation) to help understand java gui a little more? Pain no want!
