I understand that people worship books in an emperor's new clothes kind of way, but having recently been on a bit of a literary bender and watching supposed classics just meander around aimlessly for the first 100 pages made me appreciate how skillfully E33 introduced its world, characters, the stakes and made you care for them.
The game has good writing, books aren't some unassailable sanctuary of storytelling and meaning.
