They also "make" (rebrand) very good armor from BAE, Tencate, and LTC. Their PULV low-vis plates show their age badly, and only the newer B-VEL, BZ API, and all-PE ultralight versions are worth modern consideration.
Their VS-P34 is a solid ICW Level IV (and III) from back in the day. They hold the contract for the GEN-5B TSA, which supplants the LTC 28595 and is about 0.45lb lighter.
Their belt kits are expensive though. Like you said, value varies.
