Learn first aid and get the shit to do it. It's not just about guns.

We face real world hazards every day, best to learn how to handle shit. Anecdote: I work a warehouse job. I took a day off to go haul an ATV to my cabin. Same day a guy at my work smashed his leg between his forklift and a pallet rack. My friend at work had to TQ his leg with something ad-hoc while it took 25 minutes for EMS to arrive.

If you want fatass buy a sustainment pouch off of ebay for twelve bucks. Has a top with two straps for retention purposes. Mine can fit six MKA-1919 ten round shotgun mall ninja magazines, so .308 will not be an issue.
Alternative is an IDOGear GP pouch, 9.6" tall with a top so it can easily handle long magazines. The Ido pouch is chinesium, but it's... okay.

I typed that in a hurry and was thinking of the MOLLE straps, my bad. There's one adjustable buckle up top for the "lid" - there's two MOLLE straps at the top and two on the bottom for use with a backpack. I just use the top MOLLE to retain the pouch to my belt.
Think of it like a super-sized canteen pouch. Only way I've found to carry large quantities of 10 round MKA-1919 magazines. It's poorfag but works.

Why don't you just buy a kit from NAR or Rescue Essentials or something like that? Price difference is negligible and you'll get quality shit and the right shit instead of hodgpoging some kit together. They even have different kits for different needs so you're not limited. I don't know why this thread makes it so hard on themselves, is it just to save sub $10?

Got a new carrier from a local store that was going out of business and liquidating. Trying out the double stacked mag deal but not sure how I feel about it yet. Also not sure if I should move my radio back to it's own dedicated pouch or not. It's a bit snug in the cummerbund. Added a dangler to use a second IFAK and admin pouch.

Based trips and based carrier. What's your issue with the double stacking? It thickens you up, especially when prone, but the extra ammunition could be helpful in the two-way range larp department.
I run my UV-25D radio on the side of my vest, but the antenna is being an ass so I picked up a relocation wire to move it to the back. Your setup is cleaner than mine, dangler is a great call.

The issue I have with double stacking is I just feel super thick. Realistically, I'm more used to a single stacked chest rig than I am a plate carrier, I ran just a chest rig for years before I got a beginner carrier and some plates a few years ago. Now I got a bit better quality one and changed some stuff up a bit. I used to run three mags up front, two on my side, and then double stack the pistol mags up front, then run the 6th AR mag on my belt. Now I'm running 7+1 AR mags.

>>63901257
They're fine. They don't get in the way. I run another on my belt, been thinking of swapping and running two on the belt and one on the carrier, but I'm pretty satisfied with those mags are set up right now.

I forgot to mention, I was running a whip antenna up the shoulder strap but I just fucking broke it when I was putting my rig together. Twisted it on to the radio weird, and popped some copper piece out of it and now it's just gone and won't stay screwed together correctly. Oh well, I just ordered a folding antenna to replace it so whatever I guess.

Thanks Anon. So it seems like Pad, Gauze, Dressing and Bandage all mean more or less the same thing and get used interchangeably. I look up "Sterile Dressing Pad" and I get Israeli Bandages for example. Might be helpful to include a line about that somewhere. Anons, like myself might not be familiar with every possible term. Like how Dikes and diagonal pliers are the same thing.

Infographic anon here, I replied to you earlier, not sure why the other guy thought you pissed in his cereal by asking a simple question. You're correct, the infographic should clarify. Next version has already been updated.
Also good points about the nomenclature. Combine pads are really these:
https://www.bandagesplus.com/wound-care/wound-dressings/abd-pads/combined-abd-pad-5-x-9-20-bx
I'll add them to the left side for next version. Plan is that the left side needs to have every item mentioned on the right side, and more specific item descriptions.

Otherwise, current infographic to-do list.

I run an AR-152A Gooseneck on the UV-25D, it's rated to 25W so it doesn't push the SWR unless I run the radio max power VHF - which I never do because it doesn't have the battery to keep 45W up for long.
Folding tape-measure antennas are long, cool, and ironically work fine even though they're made out of... tape measure. If it works it works. I prefer a gooseneck only because it's less flippy-floppy and stays in place better.

But think of all the extra ammo you've got versus a 3+1 setup. Of course it's all "mission dictates gear" and all that, but 7+1 is a far better generalist position to be in than 3+1 and if worst comes to worst you're out of ammo right after first contact.
The more people you have, the more you can "distribute shit" across people, but if you're operating solo what you've got on you is what you've got.
'member, it's larp until it isn't.

This seems very new, I haven't seen proof these actually make advertised capacity, just food for thought if people need more runtime. Could be a nice way to modernize UV-5 type radios.

I occasionally get some use out of mine when we go camping. Means people at the cabin can stay in touch with people who are out hunting or hiking.

They're mostly a part of my disaster preps. I've got one at home, one each in my and my wife's cars, one at my mother's house, and couple of my mate's are similarly high-speed. At the very least, I can hit my wife's clinic from the top floor of my workplace and being able to touch base in an emergency even if phone lines are down/overloaded is worth the cost of a couple of Baofengs even I haven't needed to yet.

I can either carry fewer mags or get smaller utility pouches, maybe go for 100rd saw pouches instead of 200rds. I really don't want to sacrifice either of those though. Belt kit is for shooting things (mags, grenades, link, etc) or things that directly enable you to shoot said things (water, snivel gear, thermals, nods, etc).
Your blouse should have all of your admin/pocket lint (compass, notepad, headlamp, etc) and your sustainment (jetboil, basha, spare socks, etc) goes in your bergen.

Anon, step back and reassess what your needs and goals are. No LBE system is going to do everything all the time. You need a frame pack to carry all of that at once. Instead you should think about what problem you are trying to solve and build out the kit to solve that problem. Read this blog post. https://www.everydaymarksman.co/equipment/rifleman-lbe-harness/
The author goes over the theory behind belt kit and gives several examples he's assembled and what they are for. There is no such thing as one do it all solution.

Yeah you're at the smaller end for that size belt. So its a little tricky. Work on the glutes to go up a waist size or two. What A2 said is right, the molle should only be on the sides. If its in front then it will get in the way of walking. If that's not an option, and for you it might not be, then lift everything up a few inches and ride it a bit higher. See picrel for what I mean. If you can't get the first option, then wear it like #2.

The actual buttpack is awesome, it's a good size for sustainment stuff. It expands upwards which I really like, and never sags "out" behind you. The X straps they include aren't bad either, really lightweight and dry fast. I don't care about super padded straps though.

Honestly if you had some super cheap molle belt (USMC Sub Belt is a great option for $30) you'd be better off just mounting the spiritus LBE and whatever pouches on it, running the X harness on it and putting pouches from hip bone to hip bone with no stupid gap to bridge.

The kevlar is a proprietary cut. You can probably have someone like midwest custom cut inserts for it. But be ready to wait, the company is like 7 dudes. It should fit standard shaped plates. I don't think the Russians follow SAPI exactly but its close enough. Most carriers have a fair bit of slop in the plate pockets and are pretty accommodating. The exceptions tend to be concealable ones with tighter stitching. Your biggest problem will be an airsoft replica carrier holding up to real use. And not looking like a slavboo fag.

Aliexpress replicas should be fine, but try rusfor facebook groups or gray market resellers (fsb gear, soyuz gear, demych gear bakery, there are some others) who sometimes have the real thing, though often for crazy prices since it all has to be smuggled. If you're specifically looking for that degree of armor coverage, you can get an IOTV with throat and abdo for cheaper, but it wont look Russian.

No, not for airsoft, I have a Smersh rig setup for my rpk but need a vest that will let the Smersh fit over it as well as a chest rig. only thing I can find that will let me do that is either a 6b23 or a fort defender, I looked at demych but dude wants $300 just for the Kevlar inserts for a defender 2 which is insane. Do you think an Italian P98 would work I guess?

Militech is arguably the best armor China has to offer commercially. Problem is threefold. They have no NIJ certifications, lie about why they have none, and rely on youtubers with affiliate links to prove their stuff works. Youtubers aren't always trustworthy and are no equivalent to the NIJ CPL.
Militech's stuff generally follows western sizing. Much more convenient than Defender 2. See >>63897316 and >>63897311 for more options.

Also, good news! Militech stopped whining about tariffs. RF3 Black is back on the menu boys.

It can likely be adjusted to fit over the IOTV, yes. I wear suspenders + a Jinwudun "belt" under my PC only for retention purposes and it works fine. Over slipped too much for my liking. Personal preference and varies based on exact items.

Ok if you want full cut body armor that plays well with a belt kit worn over top you should look for a slick BALCS carrier. You have a few options. The cheapest is something like the Condor LCS Vanquish. It takes medium BALCS panels and sapi plates. If you want a bit fancier you can find a used First Spear sleeper or sloucher. Beez also makes slick balcs carriers too.

I forgot to post that one this bread. Good spot, here's the latest version. The LTC 26605 has been reinstated on the CPL, I also made a couple other tweaks since that 5/1/25 version.
Before any armor recommendation, you really have to look at what the expected threats in your area are.
Pistols? IIIA.
Generic rifle threats? Go with a plate that can handle the "basic CONUS medley" - M193, M855, M80. LTC 19513 is the go-to. Militech RF2 SiC if you're brave.
AP rifle threats, or rather M855A1 + M80A1 with a little extra headroom? Hesco 4403, 4601, Highcom 4S17M but it's imperative you don't buy their 10x12 shooters cut, they play games with sizing there. LTC 26605 is also good since it's been reinstated. Again, Militech RF3 if you're brave.
The rule with Chinese armor is that they beat the snot out of western counterparts on value but often lack the indicia of consistency. No NIJ certs, old test reports, reliance on youtubers as mentioned in >>63906074.
>>63906258
It would require jury-rigging the neck at least. The groin is a no go for the first spear sleeper since it uses MOLLE straps and the sleeper is velcro. You can make this work if you get creative but a cleaner solution is to just go all in on Militech.

Militech's groin panels are IOTV style with straps. You can adapt them to any carrier that has a velcro front panel by glueing or sewing velcro onto those straps. Militech also aren't the only people making accessories like this. For the other bits, they all attach with velcro so any carrier with loop in the appropriate places will take it. You can usually tell by looking at the product images. If you aren't sure, Beez does semi custom work on request. You can ask them to make you a slick balcs carrier with attachment points for the addons.

This will work, just make sure the glue and velcro are up to snuff. Don't want anything falling off under movement. Again, get creative and you can mash almost anything together.
>Militech also aren't the only people making accessories like this
Other guys include but are not limited to Hoplite, Jinwudun, Protection Group Denmark, technically DMGear (I have their XL crotch flap that fits a 10x12" soft armor panel or even a plate), Protech / Safariland, Tencate, Mehler Vario (good luck getting the last three first-hand). There's plenty to go around. The Chinese just do it on the cheap and sell anything to anybody.

Also this infographic needs some updating badly, since it's nearly a year old. Notably:
1. Adept has come out with two test reports in support of the Colossus' PM-12 rating, although there are some inconsistencies (namely the BFD going up by 10mm in the newer test - same plate same round MAYBE different clay) discussed previously. The real issue is that they spent three years sending plates to youtubers but are seemingly afraid of the NIJ. No certs!
2. Soft armor section needs to be finished.
3. The plate selection is obviously super thin. The issue is that many Euro armor outfits that sell to civs are just flipping white-label C / B-grade China plates. Yeah, you often gotta buy Chinese, but stay with Militech if you're going to do that, or Longfri.
4. Is there any update from Adept about the Colossus Heavy or was that thing just an youtube stunt? It's more-or-less just the Colossus with a 0.3"-thicker backer, so I fail to see the manufacturing concerns unless, again, they have an issue with consistency and/or the plate runs hot on BFD - which is almost certainly the case.

That's to cover duties and tariffs, which aren't even being charged all the time because customs is backlogged. Reach out to them and see if they'll offer alternate shipping methods, such as not pre-collecting the fee. You will likely still have to pay a bill in the mail.
Barring that, they're still price competitive with the extra $150 tacked on. Do one big order so you only have to pay that once, perhaps? IOTV + front, back, sides RF3 or something like that. Maybe throw in a helmet too. Full setup.
Third option, reach out to Militech on Aliexpress or Alibaba and buy that way. Price shop, make sure it's the actual store.
Fourth option, Jinwudun. Less reputable outfit.
Fifth option, wait until tariffs drop.

The part that troubles me is that Militech could have avoided the pause on US shipments if they just rented a warehouse, sent a big shipment there before the tariffs, and coasted off that. This would even allow them to get certified. They're piss afraid of being inside US jurisdiction, so I would pause on Militech if that makes you hesitate. Do not rule out Beez.

PGD plates are garbage. Very heavy, practically zero curvature.
> It's more-or-less just the Colossus with a 0.3"-thicker backer
Per the Buffman video the ceramic strike-face was 0.6", which is a lot thicker than the regular Colossus. If it were just Colossus + 0.3" thicker backer, it would weigh less than 8 pounds. Which would be pretty much the same as that PGD plate, lol
Probably it's a special order item, like the rare mythical Hescos and other plates like that.

No. The LAB belt is a shooters belt not an LBE belt. Some companies make hybrid belts than can do double duty. The thing to look out for are attachment points for the harness straps. That are usually small metal or plastic D or square rings sewn into the belt. You can weave harness straps into the molle in a pinch but that's suboptimal.

They have a couple of edge-case uses in "SHTF" hypotheticals. Of course, these all expose you to tremendous legal liability and SHOULD NOT be done outside of situations where you reasonably fear for your life and other measures are not available, you get the drift.
Dazzlers were originally designed for temporarily blinding people (of course, they often cause permanent vision loss simply by virtue of their output). This gives rise to a couple applications.
1. Checkpoints. Directly applying an LA-12 on high or strobe to a windshield will blind the driver.
2. People at riots have used equally or more powerful ebay lasers to force helicopters away. Note that this is a MAJOR FUCKING NO-NO WITH THE FAA.
3. They have the output to deal damage to lenses, especially NVs and cameras.
4. They can in theory be used as a half-ass kind of scopespotter. If directed at a scope lens it should reflect back noticeably while also blinding the shit out of the guy behind it.
5. Extra spicy aiming laser.
Let's just say that the "S.P.E.C.S" people talk about, the brown lens laser protective glasses, are NOT sufficient for protecting against the LA-12 GLIS or more powerful dazzlers like the GBD-III on high output. You need something heavier-duty.

Also forgot to mention that dazzlers have several times the risk of full power lasers. to illustrate this point, a PEQ-15's vis laser on high is about 20mW. I want to guess an HFXC's vis laser is about 35mW tops. The LA-12 is 200mW. GBD-III over 250mW. Even close-range indirect exposure to the beam is risky. A reflection off a mirror can cause immediate vision loss.
To use one as a an aiming laser demands laser eyepro. You can see the dot even with laser eyepro on, even low.

ty again anon. I work with lasers a lot at work (research lab, so not talkin' low-BQ industrial shitt) and yes even relatively low power lasers have blinding potential from specular reflections. In some ways green lasers can actually be a bit safer than say NIR lasers, because visible light causes a blink reflex, though obviously our blink reflex is slower than light, so risk of bodily harm certainly scales with power above all

Certainly. Some of the latest dazzlers have a built-in rangefinder to moderate laser output based on target distance. Not sure how well that works in practice.
I've read that SWIR lasers in particular are eye safe at very high levels, so that's another point in favor of SWIR night vision.

The Scarab is better than the JPC but also different. It's not as light weight but it holds up a lot better under use. JPCs are called "one deployment carriers" for a reason. Everything Velsys makes it's good. The value varies. For whatever reason their carriers are slept on. The LPAAC is one of the most comfortable full cut carriers on the market.

They also "make" (rebrand) very good armor from BAE, Tencate, and LTC. Their PULV low-vis plates show their age badly, and only the newer B-VEL, BZ API, and all-PE ultralight versions are worth modern consideration.
Their VS-P34 is a solid ICW Level IV (and III) from back in the day. They hold the contract for the GEN-5B TSA, which supplants the LTC 28595 and is about 0.45lb lighter.
Their belt kits are expensive though. Like you said, value varies.

The B-VEL and BZ API versions are discussed in pic related. B-VEL to my understanding is a ceramic-composite replacement for the titanium PULV and the older steel PSTES.
Accordingly, B-VEL is thicker, lighter, and picks up M80, M193, M855 protection. All in all, upgrade unless 0.1" added thickness is a killer.
The BZ API version adds... BZ API (lol) and to the best of my knowledge is only used by the Secret Service. Considering the circumstances I would not be surprised if it also picks up M855A1, but that's not guaranteed. The two threats are sidegrades My guess is that it's a B4C+PE layup like the 28791 or the USMC "LITE" plate. I've only seen a picture of the BZ API plate once, it was for sale on ebay for $6k or so for the set.
The Ultralight all-PE is extremely new. Think Hesco 3801LV but made by a more competent manufacturer (Tencate - which is the only Big Six to have never had an NIJ suspension or product recall - or BAE are the likely suspects) and in the PULV cut. My understanding is that it's under 2.5lb. If made in a traditional cut, and perhaps if it lost M80 protection and was only rated for MSC / M193, that might be the 1lb poly plates rumored last thread. Food for thought.

The reason why I advised the S.P.E.C.S aren't up for the job is that they don't cover 100% of your eyesight. If the laser hits your cheekbones or your eyebrows then you risk direct exposure. Many of the eBay lasers are Class 4 - 500mW and above. They will fry eyes even indirectly.
This means you want something enclosed - goggles, and rated for at minimum Class 3B and better yet Class 4. The applicable standard is optical density - higher the better. Gun for something at least OD6-OD7 against anticipated wavelengths. Red, Green, Blue, Magenta, and now Gold. I'll add an eyepro infographic to the list after I'm done updating the IFAK guide and the thermal scopes infographic.

Dudes do it in Ukraine a lot. Even with an AVS, there's a limit to how much you can load up a carrier before it can start to give you back problems. Belt kit is just more ergonomic for heavier loads. And doing it outside the the carrier can be kinda clunky, but its also a quick way to plus up ammo and sustainment. It's not for everyone and definitely situational, but it definitely is a thing guys do successfully.

Update on the glizzy vs HFXC. Glizzy on low is actually much dimmer than the HFXC at max power. Glizzy on high is still far, far brighter.
Notably, the glizzy's dot is wider, so as an aiming laser it won't be as precise. Maybe suitable for a cylinder-choked shotty with buckshot?
Dazzlers are like signal jammers, both respectively the "evil" counterparts to LAMs and radios. Both are designed to interfere with something. Dazzlers are basically just what you said, high powered vis laser, no illuminator, no IR.

I want to be able to carry 8 mags. The one in the gun counts. I use a m4 flap with bfg triple but I really only like have 3 up front vs double stacking.
I donโ€™t really care about pistol mags on my belt so Iโ€™m thinking at least 2 maybe even 3 rifle mags. Kywi mids. Double vs two singles? Double on left and single on right? Iโ€™m sure someone has experimented and can save me money here.

I mean, it's not like I'm loading the belt like it was a standalone belt kit (granted I do wanna add some canteen pouches for sustainment purposes which adds a fair bit of weight), I just like the idea of a basic, relatively lightweight equipment belt under a decent sized plate carrier. I only plan on running 7+1 to maybe 10+! mags on my kit depending on how much space I have to work with, some basic tools like a multi-tool and shears, and maybe a small, relatively flat GP pouch or 2 on the sides if thats an option

The use of chest seals requires sufficient training to recognise and respond to a tension pneumothorax (of course, that response can be as simple as removing the chest seal).

Application of a chest seal can potentially turn a relatively benign open pneumothorax into a life-threatening tension pneumothorax. A chest seal blocks entry of air into the pleural space via the hole in the chest wall but it does nothing to stop air entering the pleural space via the hole in the lung - if it's the hole in the lung which has formed a one-way valve then the hole in the chest wall is the only thing preventing a build up of pressure and pulmonary collapse, and you've just plugged that hole with the CS. Vented seals theoretically avoid this risk (see pic rel) but in real world conditions they're liable to clog with blood.

CSs are a good tool to have, you just need someone who knows what a tptx paying attention to the casualty who can either dart them or burp the seal if necessary.

Be careful about wavelengths with that. A lot of welding glasses are green lens. They're great for most uses and should handle red or IR lasers fine, but won't do as hot against high-powered green lasers like a glizzy.
Rule of thumb is that laser protection is weak against the color of its own lens. Even the gold lens is potentially no good against the newer breed of yellow / brown lasers.
Fortunately for us, most military dazzlers are green. However, many of the ebay lasers pushing much higher power levels are yellow or blue.
Always confirm protected wavelengths and at what level. You only get one set of eyes and there's lasers out there pushing well over a watt.

I'm not sure which accessory panel you're referring to, but they sell a loop to PALS adapter that should cover most of that back loop area if you get the 6 columns wide version. It's $19.

https://www.wtfidea.com/laser-cut-acronym-loop-to-pals-adapter/

You're unlikely to get much of anything snagging on that area, but covering it can definitely help prevent that.

Yeah no do not even have this on here. Thermals START at 320 and should be 640.
Id be buying used 320s and taipan 19-320 well before touching literally anything 256
>No mention of demag/risley prisms

>Older gen discontinued thermals at all
Bro what the FUCK is this document?
>>63920300
Trijicon thermals havent been competitive for a decade, but that hasnt stopped them from keeping the price way too fucking high
>How do clipons work
Basically like zooming in on a screen
You dont really get that much more clarity in a 640 but you do get a lot more precision.
Dont bother with a 320 clipon

What's your opinion on the mystery ranch 3dap? What's your advice for a good assault pack that can also be used for longer periods of time for sustainment as a rucksack lite?

Just came back from a field exercise and my issued plate carrier absolutely sucks nigger balls.

Im thinking of buying a personal pc, I'll be either a rifleman or machine gunner depending on my leadership mood that day.
Im using a crye blast belt on which I intend to put under armor suspenders on and a pc.

Im thinking either a crye avs or cpc to put a 4mag placard on, and then gp pouch, ifak, and another 4 mags on the belt.
But given the light load I'd be putting on the pc I might use a crye spc which has better ventilation and is lighter, I'd be using front and rear plates and a cummerbund soft armor.

Like A2 said, their lineup is badly antiquated and due to brand snobbery they don't go as low as they should used. The oneleaf mogs them for a fraction of the cost.
>>63920076
Thanks. Pulsars, thermion included, would occupy either the mid grade or high end segments, but definitely not 200% larp. High-end starts around $4,500, for reference. 200% larp is strictly five digit non-China high roller territory. I'll include price ranges for the brackets so this is more clear.
>>63924913
You're right. Just keep in mind that A2 has a much larger war chest than most people can throw at this shit, so he has no reason to even consider used but still good Armasights, Raytheons, etc. He's not your guy if you're on a budget, lol.
I'll keep the low-res therms on the infograph, but will revise wording to more clearly express they suck.

What would be a good ifak pouch for the back of this usmc padded sub belt? I want something that can mount to the 2 straps directly in the middle, but almost all the usgi pouches I've seen are spaced. Would a normal usgi ifak pouch work?I tried getting one in coyote but I think I got the usmc A1 variant which is bigger. Honestly if you could just reccomend anything that works with the non-spaced molle webbing, doesn't take up a lot of room but can still fit a tourniquet and maybe shears, and will fit a sekri ifak insert

It's the same deal as EOTech. They deliver a product, coast on their reputation, and don't really innovate at all over decades.
What I'd like to see from EOTech is a thermal overlay reflex like the Holosun DRS-TH, but with a better sensor (320 minimum) and 90hz refresh in a 552 body.
Then again, Oneleaf will just rip them off and deliver an equal product at a fraction of the price. I'm convinced there's shenanigans as to how the MT1000LRF is that cheap. I think it's $1,330 with discount code RCMT1000LRF when purchased direct.

Yeah, the OGL is out, but AFAIK it's mil/LE only. The civ-power version never materialized. IMO, it's redundant in the age of HFXC, IRIS, Laserspeed.
>It was suppose to be a huge deal but i havent heard anything about it since
As was the v3 waterproofed HFXC sms schizo was yapping about. This area has a major problem with vaporware.
>Whats the deal with oneleaf, are they legit?
The basic premise is this. Generic China outfit selling nothing but basic digital NV clip-on and rifle scopes suddenly releases a totally badass 640x512 60hz thermal with <20mK NETD (which is excellent) that doesn't have to NUC and has a laser rangefinder... for under $1,500. It's $1,330 with the right code. People generally agree they're selling it at a loss for strategic reasons, but nobody knows what percentage. I did notice that other NUCless chinese thermals have hit the market, namely those from Luna Optics (Genesis) and others, but for a lot more cash. I suspect there's a Chinese outfit hiding in the shadows supplying both.
The oneleaf is functionally a $5,000 thermal, easy, being sold for just over a quarter of the price its features would justify. Lot of possible explanations. Bold gambit, money laundering, every other company is taking us for a ride except them, so on and so forth.

The FDA limit makes sense on paper, but when you can buy eye-searing 1000mW+ lasers on ebay but not a 20mW LAM from your friendly neighborhood NV store, all it does in practice is inconvenience.
>LA-12
It's not really an aiming device unless you want to improv it into the boots of a GBD-III to call in CAS.
The laser is too dispersed to use as an aiming tool, which is fine given that's not the GLIS' intended purpose. It can be pressed into the role though, since it's built like a PEQ and is more or less the PEQ-15's evil brother. It has a lot of... flexibility as discussed in >>63909067.
Not to harp on it, but you may never see LA-12s this cheap again. They usually sell for over a grand to even more than two.
Somehow this guy got a dozen or so of the fuckers and evidentially needs them gone.

Only concern i have is the same as every other light ir laser in that im worried the scar will kill it and i would have no way of repairing it.

I already said it doesn't fit where I'd like to put it, I'm trying to have the pouch directly in the middle of the belt so the back strap on the suspenders is right in the middle of it.
All I need is to find an ifak pouch with molle straps similar to this mag pouch, not much bigger than it but still able to fit a sekri insert
>get rid of the mall ninja knife
lol no
Might eventually get a better sheath for my glock knife so I can just keep the kabar on my alice kit, but until then I'm going full wannabe marine with my gear
>and put the tourniquet in your shoulder pocket. Voila you have enough space
Might actually do that, but I'm not getting rid of the one on my belt. This isn't a thing of saving space, it's purely about finding an ifak pouch that fits square in the middle so I can effectively and symmetrically set my belt up
>For what? Your ONE magazine? Get rid of that too.
You're getting too obvious with your bait anon, tone it down a little and you might just get me next time
In case you aren't baiting and are actually that dense (more common than you'd think on this site), it shouldn't have to be said that a belt with one mag and a dump pouch is most likely being set up to be used alongside a chest rig or plate carrier

Gladly. As you can clearly see in the picture, the molle straps are too far apart and will end up taking up 3 rows of webbing instead of just 2 when set up correctly. What I'm trying to do is find one that can just take up the 2 in the middle so I can place the canteen pouches evenly. I can technically shove the straps in the intended rows but that ends up bunching up the middle of the pouch and making it look like shit, so I'd rather just buy a smaller ifak pouch and not have to deal with it being janky
>Faggot you have some shit tier $30 surplus belt and literally everything else is still getting shipped to you. I assumed quite rightly that you have no other gear and I'm clearly right about that too.
Why are you so aggresively retarded? i already have a fully set up alice belt kit and 2 chest rigs, I just decided recently to buy some coyote brown molle gear cause I like how it looks on top of multicam and it's variants. First you assume I'm only running a knife on my belt, next you assume I'm running the belt by itself, and after that you assume that i own no other gear purely based on how assmad you are. Ouch, that thing fucking sucks.
Did like the little pouch with blood type cards though

The HYL thermal is 90hz and an Infiray, it's well-specced aside from sensor resolution. The Armasight is older but still competitive on specs.
Nobody is beating Oneleaf on value, so the other options have select advantages.

One leaf still has size and weight issues. If they can produce a thermal at the size of the Rh25v with same or better specs for cheaper then they win.

>90hz 384
A monster truck with 15" tires
Its a stupid suggestion for literally anyone, a 50hz 640 can be had for less money and will mog the fuck out of it.
Dedicated thermal weapon sights as a whole are generally a mistake as well so suggesting an xbox huge one with poor resolution just makes zero sense whatsoever.
>Still compettive on specs
Specs such as?
A low res display? poor refresh weight? 3lb weight? halfmoa adjustments? 10m min focal distance? Zero support since armasight died off?

Its a retarded optic, its doubly retarded to put in "high end". Old thermals are for deals and you better know what youre buying or youre going to end up with an overpriced big heavy brick. Most people overpay for thermals so secondary resale is always inflated as these people attempt to recapture their cost.

Oh I see what you're saying. You got a pretty big ifak I don't think you need one that big from the sounds of it. Try squeezing it into two columns before you do anything else. It's fabric, you have a little wiggle room.

The way you scramble for things to rage about would be kinda funny if i could get past how pathetic and sad it is. Feel free to post your own with timestamp, as much as I don't expect you to I feel it'd be nice surprise if you weren't just projecting

You're still throwing a tantrum over this? How do you start an argument by being a shitter just to end up as the one bitching and crying at the end? This isn't how baiting is supossed to go, I hope you know that

You're pretty much on the money with this. I did try doing that when I first got it, and while it does hold it fairly securely, it ends up bunching up a lot of the back. Technically will work, i just don't like it as a permanent option is all. My options, as I see them currently, are to either buy something aftermarket that's the right size (just need a pouch with the straps close together like on mag pouches) or to modify a USGI ifak pouch to fit the belt better by moving the straps closer together
I will say, I do appreciate the anons giving actual advice, it helps a great deal with how I plan my stuff out

True, although there's likely a reason they have not.
>>63927760
Like I said, you cannot beat Oneleaf on value. The Infiray has better refresh, which is neat but not worthy of earning a diamond.
The Armasight has a 100mm lens and a very good detection range, plus it's 640x480 60hz.

Obsolete sensors like the TAU 2 powering the armasight are always going to produce an inferior image to a modern 640 package. Combine this with inferior post processing of prehistoric thermal and youre going to get a worse image regardless of the spec on hand.
An RH25v1 with a 25mm objective, similar display res and similar sensor specs will outperform a yoter-c with its 50mm objective.

Honestly really want one of the DNT thermsights with the fused day/thermal image and integrated LRF. While probably shitty at all of those because ltierallywho its a mark of the future to come.

Neeed someone to overclock a sony sensor like sionyx and jam it in there with a red dot boss uptop and we are 90% of the way there.

Probably free or close to
They are massive and dont warrant being that big to the level of performance they provide. Objective size is largely meaningless on that old of a core.

Thermals are one of the things that genuinely has gotten better in the past 10 years. Buying obsolete military thermals is rarely worth it.
