I grew up in south eastern QLD in the Logan area and they were the second most common urban ant there. They hurt like a bastard but the pain only really lasts half n hour (although when your a kid 30 minutes is a long time), I do agree they are pretty. These days instead I’m dealing with Tazzie Jackjumpers instead but I’ve never been stung by one thankfully.
