I liked the fan theory from months ago where, because of set photos of Dex in the suit, people thought maybe he would get forcibly recruited by the CIA or some other intelligence or law enforcement org in exchange for keeping his BHB secret intact. So that he gets to keep operating and killing people, but on a leash.
But nope, turns out he was wearing the suit to a funeral which turned out to be more casual and he overdressed for it. Almost no real reason other than aesthetics
