I just don't understand why people feel so threatened by a rivals system, its only purpose was to make the game more interesting.
It's literally impossible to not get the girl you want because you can even steal them mid-marriage.
I would understand if you were bitching about the HM one because that one was designed to fuck you up if you weren't actively working on your relationships, but the one in RF2 was barely noticeable, you didn't even get rival love events, it was just the marriage.
