I'm trying to figure out what exactly is the extent of our power over the world of DELTARUNE. It's not exactly cut and dry, because we can manipulate time and space but also get BTFO'd by a hockey puck. What I think happens regardless of route is that we can choose dialogue options and ACTs through Kris's mind, and they can follow our commands with some flexibility, like a classic genie that must grant wishes but can twist it in an unfavorable way. Where it gets a little weird is in Ch 2 where you can freeze a bunch of enemies and make frozen chicken dinner. Based on Kris's mysterious phonecall, I think that something *really* bad happens if the soul is wholly separated from Kris's body while in a Dark World, and that's probably why Kris doesn't stop us from Snowgraving up the place. That, and probably because there's a steel chestplate in the way of any chest grab shenanigans.

As for the [tag: mindbreak] section of Chapter 4, I think doing the weird route in the first place gave (You) more power in both the Dark World and the Light World, as the textbox feat only happens when you (PROCEED). But I also think that, for whatever reason, Kris is adamant that Noelle stays the fuck away from the SOUL shenanigans or the Roaring Knight plot as much as possible. And with all the red hearts in the Holiday House and Dess's room, there might be a deeper connection to this stuff that Noelle's whole family might be related to. I believe that as things get weirder and (You) get more power in the Weird Route, the game will get broken more and more.
