It has pretty good lore, flashbacks, world building and kino conclusions to arcs but your enjoyment of it depends on how much you're willing to tolerate the usual shonenslop inbetween (unprompted powerups, long fights, "meanwhile on floor A/B" shenanigans, etc.).

I suggest you either read the manga or watch the One Pace fan edit since the vanilla anime turns long arcs into painfully eternal slogs.
