Anyone else notice the unexplained gap in He-Man and Skeletor's lives between 1987 and the New Adventures cartoon?

1) The Power Sword looks different. He-Man has grown a ponytail and started wearing blue pants like Bow.
2) Skeletor already has his cybernetics and a different staff before meeting Flipshot and Hydron.
3) This guy is the only Evil Warrior living at Snake Mountain with the boss (no Snake Men either).
