I like how Kanbaru was originally put in because Nisio wanted to be daring by depicting a fujo (there was a sort of panic in Japan around the time about them from what I've heard). At first it is like some edgy hobby she has that she keeps hidden away in her room. But then later on, as otaku stuff became more normalized, Kanbaru can now happily carry her BLs around. She is truly a completed character that now lingers around to have fun with her friends. Can't wait until Shaft animates doctor Kanbaru.
