hd800s is more like a flavor headphone with driver tilt and obvious upper mids boost for that extra wow and spaciousness effect. I demoed it tens of times trying to figure out what is going on, basically once your brain adapts a few minutes after this effect is totally gone.
It does not get better than 580/600/650s series in headpos (they also last decades) unless you love a fuckton of bass and don't know how to EQ.
